On my one year anniversary I decided to take my wife to New York so that we can watch a Broadway show. We were hospitably welcomed to stay with our friend Grace who at the time was living in the area of Manhattan. Our trip to New York was my first and just like all first an adventure. We only stayed for four days, but the entire time was packed full of activities from seeing the Rembrandt collection at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, to watching Beauty and the Beast, having dim san in China Town, visiting the apple store, playing on the giant size piano in the Schwarz toy store, hitting up city park for a relaxing afternoon, visiting my favorite preacher Tim Keller at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, seeing Puff Daddy walking the streets, and having the best made Panini Sandwiches from my cousin Stephanie in the Bronx. Not to mention being able to take the fairy to go see the stature of liberty.

Overall it was just good to spend time with the wife cruising the big city as that is where she grew up so she was able to fill me in on a part of her life that I would have never really grasp until I started walking the busy streets of New York.
Though I have taken many trips back to the Philippines this particular trip was very important because it was the first trip that I would be able to go back with my wife Dulcinea and her time back in over 18 years. I wanted to give her a flavor of what the Philippines because it does have so much to offer for the urban animal to those who love the outdoors.
It so happened that our family had a very talented friend Archie who was performing at one of the local resto bars. Archie has been singing professionally for over 20 years all over Asia and he recently just came back from Japan. I had one song that I had to request which was, “Reasons” from the classic group Earth Wind and Fire.

Interestingly, out side of Archie performing the resto-bar also had a comedy act from some of the stars of Eat Bulaga. My cousin JJ loved the comedians so much that when they were taking some volunteers from the audience he quickly volunteered and sang karakoke with the rest of the group.

This is a continuation of my article on Trondheim, Norway. I was in Norway for about a week and so I planned by trip so that I would arrive a weekend early have a full week of work and then another weekend before I had to return to the US. I knew that most likely this would be my only trip to Norway so I decided to go ahead and take a plan flight to another area in the country called Bergen. Interestingly, both in Trondheim and Bergen during the months of October it was very overcast and would rain almost 75% of the day. However, I still manage to make my way around the city to take shots of the various places.
