Good times at the Garden of the Gods

It was another day of celebration was we hit my wife's birthday. We had the family come and visit us from out of town and in anticipation for their arrival we jam packed a four day visit with lots of activities in the hope of being able to expose them to the beauty of Colorado. But nature reared its ugly head and the sun quickly turned to dark clouds and rain. We manage to make it to the Garden of the Gods but just as we arrived and walked around for 15 minutes it started raining and did not stop for almost 3 days straight. This was definitely an anomaly as this summer rain did not seem to last for more than five minutes putting most of Colorado in a a drought condition. However, when you are with friends and family, who can't have a good time? Check out my brother-in-law scaling the cliffs of the Garden of the Gods with one hand firmly grasping the rocks which holds him and his 2 month old daughter from the treacherous depths below...
